It speaks
With teary
Eyes
Trembling lips..
Skeletal thin
An arm stretches
Forth
The hand
Holding a
Coconut bowl...
Drop a penny
Or two
Better still
Fill it with
Food!
Little faces
Appear
By its side
Little ones
That cry...
Tiny cupped
Hands
Reach for
Something,
Anything
That will fill
The hungry
Bellies!
Feed them
Give them
What you take
For granted
Most times...
Hand them
Love on
A platter
Kindness in
A bowl...
Give to
Them
What they need
Clothe and feed!
Like you
They are
So, let them
Not live
Any longer
On the street!
