THE STALEMATE
When the
Rain fell,
The sun
Frowned...
Why are
You
Bathing
The ground
When I'm
Around?
The day star
Demanded
To know....
After a bit
Of a thought
Replied thus
The raindrops...
We fall to
Cool
To
Quench
The parched
Earth
That thanks
To you
Is in thirst!
In thirst
You say?
Scoffed
The sun...
You turn it
Into a bowl
Of water,
Where fish
Are none...
Messiness
Ugliness
And no
Fun!
I suppose
You believe
You make
It better
Shining in
Your glory
Turning it hotter?
Countered
The rain...
I do! I do!
Exclaimed
The sun,,
For brighter
And hotter
Are so much
Nicer
Than any other!
The two
Had a stare
Down...
Neither
Blinked
Do it all
Stood
At stalemate...
The wind has
Had enough
Having
Heard it
All too quietly
It got
Fed up!
A whoosh
It blew
Exasperated!
Rain clouds
Scurried
Away
The sun
Blinked...
Of the two
Of you
Laughed
The wind
I win
For with
My breath
The earth
I freshen!
